Four cards lie before you. A difficult trial, a useful piece of equipment, a welcome blessing. Which will you choose first? Which will you carry into the next room?
Pilgrim’s Courage pairs approachable rules with meaningful decisions. Clear the entire journey before your life reaches zero. Every shuffle creates a different challenge.
Face the trials
Spades and clubs become challenges on your path. Use equipment to reduce damage, or face a trial unaided and take its full life cost.
Equip wisely
Diamonds provide equipment. After an equipped battle, it can face only a weaker trial. Choosing the right order makes a difference.
Receive blessings
Hearts restore life, up to 20. Only one blessing heals in each room, so decide when to receive it and when to carry it forward.

The game shuffles the deck and reveals your first four cards. - Resolve three cards.
Choose their order. Read the damage preview before each battle, equip a diamond, or receive a blessing. - Carry one card forward.
Enter the next room with your remaining card. If you have not acted yet, you may take another path, but never twice in a row. - Finish the journey.
When the deck empties, resolve every remaining card. Survive with life above zero to win.

Open the game in your browser and begin. No download or game account required. Progress stays with that browser.
Play on Windows
Download the ZIP, choose Extract All, and open Pilgrims-Courage.exe. Play offline in its own window. Requires 64-bit Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Edge.
Play at your table
The four-page PDF includes setup, examples, scoring, and a printable life tracker. Use a standard deck with the red aces and red face cards removed. Leave out jokers.

Is Pilgrim’s Courage free?
Yes. The browser game, Windows download, and printable rules are all free.
Do I need to know the Bible to play?
No Bible trivia or prior knowledge is required. The Christian theme provides the setting; your choices focus on cards, equipment, healing, and strategy. Life is a game counter, not a measure of faith.
Can I stop and come back later?
Yes. Reopen the web game in the same browser, or the PC game under the same Windows account. Clearing saved browser data or deleting the PC profile may erase your progress.
What happens when a journey ends?
Your final score appears, and Play again starts a fresh journey. You can also choose New journey during play; it asks before replacing your current game.
