A journey of encouragement. A road filled with decisions.
The road begins in Antioch. Communities await encouragement, provisions are limited, and every journey takes time. Will you travel overland, take a sea route, or pause to prepare before setting out?
Created by Marcus Draper, Paul’s Journeys: Carry the Light is a free, single-player strategy game inspired by Paul’s ministry in the book of Acts.
Choose your route, care for your supplies, and carry encouragement from one community to the next.
Your Mission
Encourage at least six different communities—including Rome—and complete your journey in Rome before time runs out.
Travel through a route network featuring Antioch, Cyprus, Perga, Ephesus, Philippi, Thessalonica, Corinth, and Rome.
Arriving is only the beginning. Spend time encouraging each community to make your visit count toward the goal. Even Antioch, where your journey begins, offers an opportunity to help before you depart.
You don’t have to visit every place. Choose a route that leaves enough time and provisions to finish your mission.
Every Journey Brings a Choice
Land routes cost fewer days and provisions than sea routes, but your destination determines which connections are available.
Along the way, changing travel events may bring delays, damaged supplies, weariness, or unexpected hospitality. A welcoming household might share provisions. Kind words might restore your courage.
Between journeys, you can gather supplies or rest with a community. Both help you prepare—but both take time.
The challenge is knowing when to press forward and when to pause.

Inspired by Paul’s Ministry
This game draws inspiration from the journeys, perseverance, hospitality, and encouragement found in the book of Acts.
Its route board combines places associated with Paul’s travels into a fictional strategy challenge. It is not a geographic map or an exact reconstruction of his itinerary.
Travel events, resource costs, and time limits are invented gameplay elements. Courage represents readiness within the game—not a measurement of faith.
