Called
to Follow
Twelve disciples. One extraordinary story.
Discover the journey through their eyes—and put your imagination into words.
You don’t need to be a writer.
Just be curious.
What might a fisherman have noticed before leaving his nets? What could it have felt like to sit at the table with Jesus? What questions might a disciple have carried along the road?
Called to Follow invites you to explore the Gospel story through gentle prompts, your imagination, and a personal journal. One sentence is enough to begin.
A place in the story.
Choose one of the twelve disciples. Each offers a different perspective for your imagined journey.
A moment to explore.
Read a scene, follow its Scripture references, and use a prompt to wonder about life in that moment.
A story of your own.
Record a thought, a question, or a scene. In the digital editions, “Tell My Story” gathers your writing into a keepsake.
From the shoreline
to a new beginning.
Explore life before the call, the days with Jesus, and the hope of His resurrection.
An ordinary day.
Imagine familiar work, everyday concerns, and the world your disciple knew before meeting Jesus.
A life being changed.
Reflect on moments of teaching, fellowship, questions, and faith along the way to the cross.
Hope that carries on.
Journey through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, then explore the beginnings of the early Church.
“What would
I have noticed?”
You don’t need a perfect answer. A sound, a small kindness, or an honest question can become the beginning of an entry.
Scripture anchors the journey. Invented details and private thoughts are clearly treated as imagination, not biblical fact.
Imagine standing beside your fishing boat. What familiar sound would you miss if you left today?
“I think I would miss the water tapping against the boat before anyone else was awake.”
A shared journey.
A voice for everyone.
Invite family, friends, or your small group. Up to twelve players can choose different disciples, write privately, and take turns sharing their perspectives.

A few things you might wonder.
Do I need cards, dice, or experience with roleplaying games?
No dice or traditional playing cards are needed. Gentle writing prompts guide you along the way. The printable edition includes optional prompt cards for inspiration.
Is this suitable for children?
The game is designed for ages 10 and up, with simple steps and room for short answers. An adult can help with reading, discussion, and scenes involving betrayal and Jesus’ death.
Can I choose Judas?
Yes. His route addresses betrayal without rewriting the biblical outcome. Later scenes shift to an observer’s perspective, with an optional Matthias perspective near the end.
Does “Tell My Story” invent a story for me?
It gathers your own journal writing into chapters. You can print or save your story and read it to others. Your words make the keepsake personal.
How do I return to my multiplayer seat?
Download your private recovery key when you create or join a room. Keep that key for yourself; share only the room code with your group. Download your journal regularly to keep a personal copy.
Is the imagined story meant to replace Scripture?
No. Scripture references anchor the scenes. Unknown childhood details, private thoughts, and other creative additions are imagination. Read the referenced passages alongside your journey.
Your first sentence is waiting.
Choose a disciple. Open your journal. Take the next step.
