Session Clock
Suggested tabletop rhythm: introduce two camp activities, weave in camper problems, then escalate the monster's presence. The Game Ranger decides pacing and outcomes.
Risky Action β’ Dice Pool
Choose a counselor and roll.
MONSTER: each die below Skill succeeds. COUNSELOR: each die above Skill succeeds. A die equal to Skill succeeds and grants a Monstrous Counselor benefit. 1 success = complication, 2 = clear success, 3+ = critical success. Failure adjusts Skill as described in the rules.

Tabletop Quick Reference
Creating counselors: choose a Style, Specialty, and Motivation. Add the Style and Specialty Skill modifiers. Choose a camp nickname and favorite camper. Pick one safe and three dangerous locations.
Risky actions: roll 1d6, plus up to three extra d6 for an item, relevant Style/Specialty, and Motivation. For MONSTER actions, roll under Skill; for COUNSELOR actions, roll over Skill. Equal Skill is a success and grants a Monstrous Counselor benefit. On zero successes, MONSTER reduces Skill by 1 (minimum 2); COUNSELOR increases Skill by 1 (maximum 5).
Outcomes: one success brings a complication, two are a clear success, three or more a critical success. Other counselors can help by rolling 1d6 and exchanging a die, sharing consequences.
Game Ranger: build a hidden plot, telegraph danger, introduce daily activities and camper problems, and keep the monster lurking. Players help define the camp together.
